Instant improved mobile phone reception

Used in conjunction with the ORA universal antenna, this increased the number of signal strength bars on my nokia N97 from 0-1 to 2-3 bars. The holder itself is really the type of phone holder you would have in your car, minus the stem and sucker. The N97 is firmly gripped between the two spring loaded fingers enough for me to have a conversation with the phone and holder pressed to my ear. I use this setup when working away from home where the signal stength for my mobile network is marginal or poor. The antenna screws straight into the FME connector on the holder and I can attatch the antenna to the Hotel room window via its built in rubber suckers. It helps to position the phone in the holder right next to the phones internal antenna. I downloaded a repair manual for my phone off the web which identified the internal antenna near the bottom on the N97. This holder and antenna arrangement should work with any mobile phone which will fit in the holder.

The universal passive holder is fine, but

The antenna that comes with it makes no difference whatsoever to mobile reception.
