Go910 switches on then off
My Go910 is about 5 years old now and its only just recently started to give problems. I always update it twice a week and make sure that it is fully charged before going anywhere. And I only ever use when it's on the car's windscreen dock. I have since tried another dock and power supply but it still does the same. It started a couple of months ago by first showing a Black icon in the bottom right hand corner of the screen, it was shaped like a small medecine capsule, a few minutes after that it would reboot itself or go off. I can now charge it up indoors before a journey but within five minutes it will just switch off. Can anyone please advise? |
Hmm, this is a problem we saw a while back...does your HDD make any clicking noises by chance when it resets? |
No noise whatsoever. |
Hmm, difficult to diagnose that one without seeing it. Its clearly a power problem but which part? Battery is probably shot by now but it should still run on the lead if that still works and something simple like a blown fuse isn't stopping it. Could be a loose connection on the charging circuit, could be a dry joint on the plug. Could even be the car socket? |
