The 3G Router's wireless-N networking capability is fast, with extended range for maximum mobility. Now you can provide a 3G mobile broadband Internet connection to all your WiFi devices, including Windows, Macintosh, or Linux computers, iPhones and other WiFi mobile phones, the iTouch and Blackberry, barcode readers, and game stations including Nintendo DSi, Nintendo DS Lite, and Playstation Portable.

The Model 4501 can often provide an improved 3G connection where signal strength is low. Put the Router and 3G modem where the local 3G signal strength is the best, such as near a window. Then the Router will complete the connection to local WiFi devices through extended-range wireless-N capability. You can connect computers and other devices to the Router through its wireless-N capability or through the Model 4501's Ethernet LAN jack. You can also plug an ADSL modem or cable modem into the 4501 through an Ethernet WAN port to provide router functions to those broadband connections. When also connected to a 3G USB modem, the 4501 will provide automatic backup to your wired Internet connection.

The 4501 provides an extensive list of router features, including robust firewalls, VPN Pass-through, DHCP server, Quality of Service (QoS) and other router functions for up to 253 simultaneous users. The 4501 also supports a wide range of Internet service connection protocols, including static IP, dynamic IP (DHCP client), PPTP, L2TP, PPPoE, and 3G. These can be set up easily if you need them by using the Router's built-in browser interface, or use Universal Plug and Play for even easier setup. The 3G Wireless-N Router is compatible with a wide range of USB mobile broadband modems.

Fabulous Fixed Line Replacement.

I ordered this item yesterday and what an ultra-rapid delivery from Expansys, thanks folks. My router arrived at my door at 1pm this afternoon. I ordered this 3G wifi router to replace my fixed phone line after discovering that mobile broadband is faster than my fixed line provider and I'm not a heavy data user. Managed to set up the router in about 20 minutes and the performance is outstanding. Getting 5MB down and 1MB up speeds in East Manchester with Vodafone. The signal strength around the house is excellent (2 bedroom semi). This dinky bit of kit is highly recommended at such a small price.
